Danube cycling holidays – Danube cycle path Vienna to Budapest
Originating in the Black Forest in Germany, Europes second longest river, the Danube is one of the grandest rivers in the world, meandering more than 2,000 kilometres between the Schwarzwald area in Germany and the Black Sea. It is also the most international river in the world as it passes through no less than ten different countries along the way and through four capital cities; Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest and Belgrade before emptying into the Black Sea through the Danube Delta in Romania and Ukraine.
European Cycling Tours offer a unique opportunity for a once in a lifetime cycling experience through this spectacular and special corner of Europe. Untouched by modernity, the Danube still holds a rich heritage of culture and unspoiled landscape for you to explore on your bicycle.
