This easy-paced London to Paris route reflects the style and structure outlined in our guide to guided and supported cycling holidays in France, with carefully planned stages and professional logistical backing.

From the start of this epic bike ride you will cycle from the heart of London starting at the iconic Marble Arch on the corner of spectacular Hyde Park. From here the first few miles of the route will take you on a fantastic tourist route through central London taking in famous sites and historical landmarks such as the Wellington Arch, Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament before crossing the mighty Thames river over Westminster bridge and southward through Lambeth and Croydon boroughs and down into the beautiful Surrey hills. From here you soon drop into the picturesque rolling countryside of the counties of Surrey and Sussex before reaching the very southern edge of the UK and the historic coastal town of Newhaven and here ends your first day of your grand tour.
The following morning after breakfast it’s straight to the ferry port for a leisurely cruise to the French coast. The time of landing comes well into the afternoon and as you hit the Normandy soil it’s full steam ahead down the old railway line now transformed into miles of beautiful cyclepath – the ‘Avenue Verte‘. After our first night in Normandy we continue on the avenue verte for most of the day three stage to our second night in Normandy at Gasny. The final day we drop into the Seine valley and begin the ride along the mighty river stopping off at Versailles for lunch before continuing the ride into Paris and to our final destination, the Eiffel Tower – c’est magnifique!

“Having never really cycled before, the challenge of cycling from London to Paris was HUGE. However, both Jason and Paul did an amazing job in supporting the team of mixed abilities and experience through the 3 day tour. Extremely professional, and a very well organised itinerary. I would seriously recommend ECT for anyone looking for a great adventure with the security of knowing it’ll be well planned and catered for. I’m looking forward to booking my next trip with these guys. Thanks again for all your support, knowledge (and patience)!!! “ – Bryony Harrison-Croft 2018

“I joined the ECT Tdf to ride from London to Paris with my two sons to see the final tour stage in Paris. We had a memorable ride on both sides of the channel riding through some lovely Countryside. The trip was well organised and well led by Jason who kept a group of varying abilities together. The whole trip more than met my expectations and provided me with an unforgettable experience. I would thoroughly recommend this trip” – Julian Walker 2023

If you would like to learn a little more about the London To Paris bike ride then Why The London to Paris Cycle Tour de France Is Is The Best London to Paris Cycle to read blog by one of our leaders for an inside view of three days on the road to Paris

“European Cycling Tours did an absolutely fantastic job of guiding our successful cycle challenge from London to Paris. From beginning to end, the ride, route, food, accommodation and logistics were professionally planned with precision. Guiding 13 riders of mixed ability I am sure is no easy task, but it certainly looked it! The route was one that could only be planned by people who had ridden them roads before. The surface’s were great, the traffic was minimal and the scenery was beautiful. At no time did we take a wrong turn, and the support Van met us on all the places we needed it. Even mechanicals didn’t stop us, as the teams intrinsic knowledge of cycling mechanics had them fix an otherwise critical mechanical on the route. If you want a challenge without the hassle of planning, and want an inclusive ride, European Cycling Tours are the folks to help you achieve it.” Stephen Pammenter 2018
