At the Airport, any bikes being transferred will be loaded onto the bike transfer van(s).
Plan to collect your rental cars from the airport.
On arriving to hotel, you will check-in and build bikes before exploring your surroundings.

You are required to arrange your own travel to Switzerland ✈
Ideally the entire group should book on to the same flight to/from the trip.
You should seek to plan the use of  rental cars for your journey to/from the hotel in St.Moritz.

Alpine mountain weather in the high summer can be variable but should be mostly clement conditions with warm sunshine. Cloud cover and some precipitation can appear if conditions dictate. It will also feel cool on the high summits especially if there is a breeze around, so good idea to bring layers and shells for all eventualities just in case.
A full kit list will be issued in your ‘Joining Instructions’ document after your application.
We will be glad to discuss any aspect of kit and your bike with you, please call us anytime with any questions.
This is a road bike trip.
Your bike should be well maintained and in good running order with suitable ‘road gears’ and brakes.
Swiss roads are generally clean and fantastic but on [any] trip we can sometimes come across ‘scruffy’ surface or resurfacing works in towns/villages so we do recommend strong [puncture resistant] tyres not lightweight [racing] tyres.
If you bring shimano Di2 (or similar), you are expected to fully understand the operation and recalibration of the system – including crash mode reset which can occur during transporting your bike.

There will be bike tools and some spares available during your week with us at your accommodation as well as bike cleaning facility.

Switzerland bike rental
Switzerland does have a small selection of bike rental companies to choose from.
Bike rental (choice) should be made well in advance with any logistical planning (delivery/collection) made at the time of booking.
Bike rental is your responsibility with the provider you choose, we [ect] do not engage in your contract with your chosen bike rental company. We will assist with any logistical delivery/collection planning requirement however we can.
We will recommend a bike rental company who will be glad to help with bike rental for you for this trip to the Swiss Alps.

During your week in the Swiss Alps you will be located in in the historic Alpine city of St. Moritz in the beautiful Engadin region where you can appreciate the modern Alpine lifestyle characterised by fabulous restaurants, hotels and great shopping.
At 1,856m above sea level, there is a long history of Alpine life including of course Olympic winter sports and spectacular cycling as well as established local alpine cuisine specialities including the famous Engadine nut tart – not to be missed!
From St. Moritz, you will enjoy spectacular route options to all the best climbs, historic towns and glacier lakes of this spectacular unspoilt region.
There is also a brief sojourn across the border into Italy to take on one of the mythical climbs of the Alps… The Stelvio Pass!
